Satavahanas, Chhimuka Satavahana, 2nd century BC, Copper, 4.4 g, elephant walking to right with upraised trunk, Brahmi legend on the right of the animal reads, …jni siri chhimuka.. A tree-in-railing on rev. About Extremely Fine for the type, Rare. Chhimuka is considered to be the earliest and the first member of the famous Satavahana dynasty. His coins in good condition are not easily available.

Satavahanas, Satakarni, Copper (2), 3.2 & 4 g, elephant on obv and an ornate Ujjayini symbol on rev. The first coin has an interesting depiction of the elephant that seems to be eating leaves from a tree-in-railing which has leaned on right. Very Fine, Scarce. (2)
