A Large and Very Impressive Bronze Figure of a Tirthankara, probably Mahavira,
Karnataka,
17th century
The sky-clad male figure standing within a shrine on raised lotus base, flanked by a diminutive figure of an attendant yaksha and yakshi, the arched flaming prabha surmounted by kirtimukha, numerals 24 in Kannada script incised on the lotus base, stand and back of the prabha .

Of tall slender form, the segmented shaft on flared rim foot, the pentagonal reservoir surmounted by a figure of Saraswati riding on her vahana, the swan, holding a veena.
